FAQ
The Healthy Kids Agenda (HKA) is a national coalition of parents, pediatricians, and public health advocates. It sets a five-value standard for children's health and holds public leaders to it at the local, state, and federal levels.
Our core organizations are Mothers Out Front, the Medical Society Consortium on Climate and Health, Physicians for Social Responsibility, the Children's Environmental Health Network, and Future Forward Women. Our growing partner list includes the Alliance of Nurses for Healthy Environments, Beyond Plastics, Defend Our Health, MomsRising, Moms Clean Air Force, the National Women's Law Center, Parents Together, Red Wine and Blue, Voices for Vaccines, and Vote Mama.
Kids are facing rising chronic illness, mental health struggles, and gun deaths, alongside growing exposure to toxins like lead, forever chemicals, and microplastics. At the same time, the federal government is repealing PFAS limits in drinking water, weakening chemical safety rules, and cutting programs families rely on, from Medicaid and SNAP to Head Start and school meals. HKA gives parents and caregivers a shared platform to push back and build the political power to win real change.
We advance a shared policy vision for children's health. We give parents an organized onramp into a state and local movement. We put leaders on record through pledges, town halls, and public events. And we unite parents and health organizations into one movement with the power to win for our families.
No. Every parent and caregiver wants the same things for their kids, regardless of politics. We hold all public leaders accountable to that standard and work with anyone willing to meet it.
Parents, caregivers, healthcare providers, and organizations that share our commitment to children's health are all welcome. Individuals can sign up to stay involved, and organizations can join as coalition partners.
Yes. Partners add their organization to the coalition sign-on, share the agenda with their members and networks, and co-sign the values pledge to help hold candidates accountable on children's health.
The coalition gives parents an organized way into a movement in their own state and community. Sign up to stay connected, and we'll share ways to plug in as launch approaches.
Visit our website to sign up, become a partner, or find resources. The coalition's public launch is a webinar later this summer, with more ways to get involved coming soon!
